FEBRUARY ORGANIZATIONAL UPDATE

February started with weather that slowed down the state and strained our hospitals, urgent care centers, and surgery centers.  The weather, although a factor in a decision made by the leaders of TCORN to postpone the Perioperative Day in the Capitol scheduled for February 15, 2023, to March 20, 2023.  Other factors contributing to the need to move the date were that the smoke evacuation bill still needs a bill number, and we need to confirm a sponsor. Most representative and senate offices are reluctant to schedule appointments to discuss a bill without a bill number.  By March 10th, the last day to file, the bill will have a number.  We hope you can join us on Monday, March 20, 2023, for Perioperative Day in the Capitol. With great sadness, TCORN leaders announce that after more than a decade of working with TCORN as Treasurer and webmaster, Terri Goodman is stepping down from these positions. The leaders will hold a Zoom meeting for all TCORN members to discuss the positions to be filled and develop goals for the summer annual education program.  Watch for more information about the Zoom meeting.
