Position Description

Title: Postpartum Manager RN (Nights)

Location: Austin, TX

Salary/Pay Rate: Up to $113,000 per year + Relocation Assistance

Schedule: Night Shift, Full-time

About the Client: Our client is a well-established healthcare provider in Austin, Texas, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. They are committed to fostering a supportive and rewarding environment for their employees and offer excellent benefits. This opportunity is within their Postpartum unit, a 97-bed facility that provides comprehensive care for mothers and their newborns, including couplet care.

Job Description: The Postpartum Manager RN will oversee the night shift operations of the Postpartum unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient staff management. This role involves collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, including lactation consultants, to provide a positive patient experience. The Manager will also play a key role in upholding evidence-based practices and maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Required Skills:

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
  • Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license with the ability to obtain a Texas license)
  • 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • 1+ year of experience in a supervisory role
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Ability to obtain Specialty Certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Skills:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), or RNC-OB (Registered Nurse Certified - Obstetrics) certifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in postpartum care and couplet care models
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and accreditation standards
