- Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
- The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has previously been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and is a Maternal Level IV designated facility
- Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements.
- Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
- Will float to Labor & Delivery (LDR), Mother/Baby (couplet care), Neonatal ICU (NICU) and Antepartum
- 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites
- Average 275 + deliveries per month
- Wide range of patients and plan of care – water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients.
- 63-bed Level III NICU – will work with Level II infants
- 27-bed Mother/Baby, couplet care unit
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
- BSN is preferred
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
- One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
- One (1) year or more of Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) setting RN experience strongly preferred
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
