Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated RN Manager PreOp PACU to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers
  • Establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
  • Identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
  • Works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals.
  • Oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services.

Skills Required

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Experience Required

  • Current TX Nursing License
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum 2 year experience in a hospital setting
