Ms. Murdock is a staff nurse at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. She is presently serving as President Elect of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). She is an AORN Journal author and national conference speaker about DEI and trauma care. Darlene holds an MSN in Education from WGU, a BSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, B.A. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Murdock is recognized as a proven leader in the perioperative nursing profession, demonstrating an innovative and growth mindset. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge, committed to lifelong learning, and dedicated to providing safe, compassionate care to her patients.

Melinda is an MBA RN healthcare strategist with over 20 years of experience as a health advocate, informatics nurse, digital transformation specialist, and technology leader. She is passionate about creating and implementing enhanced healthcare delivery models to improve the healthcare experience for clinicians and patients. She serves as the Advocacy VP for DFW HIMSS and educates politicians on healthcare issues. Her platforms are SDOH, Rural Healthcare, Maternal Care, Cybersecurity, AI, and improving the future of nursing.
Associate Professor - Graduate Informatics -Informatics Generative AI in Healthcare and Education, Emerging Digital Health Technologies
Dr. Steph Hoelscher is a Professor of Graduate Informatics and the MSN Informatics Program Director at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She is board-certified in Nursing Informatics by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Fellow of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). She holds certificates in Generative AI Prompt Engineering and Translational Science and is a certified AI management professional. Dr. Hoelscher brings a wealth of expertise to her field, with nearly 30 years of nursing experience in oncology, trauma, and informatics. Her areas of expertise include prompt engineering and generative AI, EHR workflow assessment and redesign, governance, infectious disease clinical decision support, and reducing clinician documentation burden.
